Discover the World of Hand-Cut Pinnacle Puzzles by MGC
Handcrafted wooden jigsaw puzzles made by a master craftsman offers an entirely different level of quality and experience than mechanically laser cut or cardboard puzzles. Each piece is individually shaped on a scroll saw with an ultra-fine blade, producing crisp, precise edges, creative “whimsy” pieces, and subtle variations that give the finished puzzle character and uniqueness — things laser-cut or stamped produced puzzles simply cannot replicate.
Because every puzzle is cut by hand, it can be tailored with personalized elements, complex compound shapes, and interactive whimsy pieces that elevate the solving experience from casual pastime to heirloom-quality artwork. In short: the tactile pleasure, longevity, and one-of-a-kind artistry of a hand-cut wooden puzzle create value and emotional resonance that mechanical or cardboard puzzles can’t match.

Authentic Hand-Cut Craftsmanship
Special Shaped Pieces (Whimsy / Figural Pieces)
Archival-Quality Printing with Vibrant Colors
Every puzzle is individually hand-cut, piece by piece, using proprietary scroll saw techniques. This meticulous process allows for creative shapes, intricate cuts, and subtle variations that simply cannot be achieved with automated production methods.
- No laser cutting (burning)
- No CNC machines
- No stack cutting (multiple puzzles cut at the same time)
- No cardboard puzzles
All Pinnacle and MGC puzzles are crafted from high-quality wood, ensuring durability, beauty, and a puzzle experience that is truly distinctive.
The Importance of Quality Wood
The quality of the wood used in a puzzle plays an essential role in the overall experience. That is why I use premium-grade ply-wood when crafting my puzzles. My carefully selected woods provide the strength and durability needed for intricate hand-cut designs, while also creating a wonderful tactile experience as you handle each piece during the solving process. The natural feel of the wood, combined with the precision of hand-cut craftsmanship, results in puzzle pieces that are solid, smooth, and satisfying to fit together.
Archival-Quality Printing with Vibrant Colors

Archival-Quality Printing with Vibrant Colors
Most of my puzzles are printed in-house using state-of-the-art printing technology and archival-quality pigment inks specifically chosen for their exceptional color depth and longevity. These premium inks produce rich, vibrant colors and remarkable image clarity, allowing the artwork in each puzzle to truly come to life. In addition to their visual quality, archival pigment inks are highly fade-resistant, with tested longevity ratings of up to 400 years under proper display and storage conditions.
This means the puzzle you enjoy today can retain its beautiful color and visual impact for generations to come. In fact, with proper care, your great-great-grandchildren—and even generations beyond—could be assembling the very same colorful puzzle that you are enjoying today. By combining archival printing with handcrafted wooden construction, each puzzle is designed to be more than just a temporary pastime—it is intended to be a lasting heirloom-quality work of art.

Special Shaped Pieces (Whimsy / Figural Pieces)
Many of my puzzles feature special shaped pieces, often referred to as whimsy pieces or figurals, which are carefully carved into the puzzle to complement and enhance the image itself. These unique pieces add an extra layer of discovery and enjoyment for the solver, turning the puzzle into both a visual experience and a playful exploration.
Within my MGC Custom Puzzle brand, these special pieces can often be personalized at the customer’s request, allowing you to incorporate meaningful elements such as names, initials, dates, hobbies, sports themes, favorite animals, or other personal symbols into the puzzle design.
In my Pinnacle Puzzle brand, the special shaped pieces are typically designed to correspond directly with elements in the artwork. Their placement within the puzzle often interacts with the surrounding imagery in clever or humorous ways, frequently bringing a smile—or even a chuckle—to the person assembling the puzzle as they discover how the shapes relate to the picture.
