Below is "General Information" for you to read before ordering puzzles or art prints from me.

100% HANDCRAFTED

All of my wooden puzzles are individually hand-cut and are 100% original works of art. This means...

- NO computer controlled cutting 

- NO lasers 

- NO CNC machines

- NO stack cutting (cutting multiple puzzles at the same time, stacked on top of each other with different color backings)

- NO Cardboard - I do not make or sell cardboard jigsaw puzzles. 

BACKORDERED = MADE TO ORDER

It is impossible for me to have hand-cut every puzzle image in my online store, in every size option listed and have it ready to ship from inventory.  Thus, you will see many sizes on my shop showing "0" inventory / "Back ordered" in my store.  This means that I will make the puzzle in that size once you have actually ordered it.   YES, several dozen puzzles have been pre-cut and are ready to ship, however the larger size puzzles are typically made to order.  Please call me if you need a puzzle quickly for a gift or other reason, and I can guide you as to what I have in my already pre-cut inventory, that is ready for immediate shipping.  1-860-818-4334, or email:  MGCPuzzles@gmail.com

IMAGING & INKS:

My beautiful puzzle images are printed on premium grade professional papers, using brilliant archival ultra-chrome pigment inks that are rated for 200 to 400 years of fade resistance in standard room lighting. This means that your puzzles will look bright and breathtakingly colorful for many, many, generations to come. You can even leave my puzzles near a window kissed by direct sunlight for a few days, and you will not see any noticeable image fading whatsoever! Please note that intentionally leaving any puzzles in view of direct sunlight for any prolonged period of time is very discouraged, as bright DIRECT sunlight will eventually degrade the image color quality, especially the reds.

PREMIUM PUZZLE WOOD:

The woods that I use to make your custom puzzle is a premium grade of birch that is produced at a mill in Finland or a Premium grade of poplar milled in Italy, that only utilizes wood acquired from professionally managed sustainable growth forests. These 5-ply or 7-ply woods are 1/4" thick (7mm) and have an appearance that light in color, with a delightful weight to it, giving the puzzle solver a lovely tactile sensation while working on solving your puzzle. This birch wood is NOT "Baltic birch" which is far more common, and of lower quality.

ART PRINT ONLY ORDERS

Some of my listings offer the option to order the ART PRINT ONLY of the puzzle image shown (Uncut, and not mounted to wood), so that you can frame this print and hang it on a wall in your home or office to enjoy.   ART PRINT ONLY orders will typically ship in 1-3 business days.  Prints ordered of images by the artist Jane Wooster Scott, are all limited edition hand signed and numbered lithographs or serigraphs (depending on the image selected) that were produced by the artist.    All other image print offerings are printed by myself, using archival inks and premium quality paper as mentioned above, to give you a lovely print suitable for framing.  Framing services through my shop are not offered at this time.

FIGURALS / WHIMSIES shaped pieces

Complimentary figurals / whimsies are typically in my puzzles at a ratio of about 1 per 50 pieces of puzzle ordered. If you see a puzzle listing featuring a dozen or more figurals / whimsies cut into a 500 to 800+ piece puzzle example pictured, and you order a small puzzle 65 to 450 pieces for example, know that you will not have the same amount of figurals / whimsies in your puzzle as what is pictured.  Additionally, the selection of figurals / whimsies and their placement within the puzzle, varies from puzzle to puzzle.  

MADE TO ORDER Puzzles LEAD TIMES:

Puzzles are typically shipped within 1-3 weeks from date of order dependent upon the size of the puzzle(s) and quantity that you order. Really large puzzles over 2500 pieces can take up to 4 weeks to fulfil.

VERY LARGE PUZZLES / Multiple puzzles ordered:

If you are ordering a very large puzzle, or multiple puzzles with cumulative piece counts that exceed 2,500 puzzle pieces, your order lead time will likely be around 4 weeks. In cases where multiple puzzles are ordered, partial orders of 1-3 puzzles at a time may be shipped (as they are cut), over more than one shipment.

SHIPPING: (FOB: ORIGIN - Newtown, Connecticut)

I ship my puzzles and art via USPS.com Priority mail or Ground Advantage as my standard shipping method for my "Free Shipping" included with your purchase over $250 within the USA.  If you desire a different shipping method or carrier, you must disclose this to me at the time that you order, and I will bill you separately for this modified shipping request. 

NO PUZZLE PHOTO on the BOX:

Dating back to the 1760's, "Hand-cut" Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle makers have never provided a photo of the puzzle contained within the box, as a guide to solving the puzzle.  A puzzle is a puzzle for a reason... to explore and slowly discover the image as you solve each piece.  Often, hand-cut puzzles will even have titles on the box that are somewhat confusing / misleading, only to make sense when the puzzle is actually assembled.  This is a great tradition that even now in the 2020's remains intact with very rare exception.  You will typically only find photographs on boxes of mass produced cardboard and laser cut jigsaw puzzles.

SOME HELPFUL DISCLOSURES:

Some of my puzzle listings do not yet depict the specific image in the listing as a cut puzzle.  As new orders come in, I will be photographing them and update the listings with the new photography.  In the meantime, please browse my many other listing where cut images do appear, to see examples of my cutting skills and style.

CUSTOM ORDERS

Private commissions for puzzles of images not pictured on my website are usually accepted. If you have a favorite artist/painting, let me know who/what it is! If I am able to acquire a high resolution digital image file of the work(s) of art, or if you already have a quality printed art print on suitable durable paper stock, I will be happy to turn it into a beautiful wooden puzzle for you in a size that you desire to order. Size variations only apply to puzzles made using digital image files, that I print in house myself. RUSH ORDERS: 

Do you need your puzzle in a rush? Email me or call me to discuss. I may be able to accommodate your faster delivery needs. All rush orders have a fee (20% to 50% depending on speed) associated with them and must be arranged in advance.

RETURN & REFUND Policy

1) Custom ordered puzzles with unique personalizations are not returnable.

2) Non custom ordered puzzles are returnable within 3 calendar days of receipt if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.  The puzzle must be returned in the exact MINT CONDITION that it was shipped to you, properly packed to arrive back to me in perfect resalable condition.  You will be refunded your purchase price minus the shipping fee (If any) and a $50 restocking fee.

3) Art Prints are returnable within 7 calendar days of receipt if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase. Returns must be properly packed to arrive back to me in perfect resalable condition.  You will be refunded your purchase price minus the shipping fee (If any) and a $25 restocking fee.
